Originally constructed in the 1980’s the original Club has come to the end of its life use having been battered by coastal conditions for 40 years. In 2017, the Sunshine Beach SLC came to the decision to completely overhaul the Club which eventually included demolishing the upper two levels whilst retaining the lower level lifesaving area. The upper levels were subsequently replaced by a contemporary indoor / outdoor dining and bar area on ground floor, substantially increasing the number of patrons which could be accommodated within the facility taking full advantage of the expansive ocean views on offer. These areas we’re supported by a new 150 person function and training facility located on Level 1.
